Why I Started MusicMax

It all started one rainy Sunday.

I had gotten some tea, cleaned my room, did my laundry, and was ready to put on some music and journal – maybe draw for a bit. I open Apple Music and hit the “Discovery” playlist as I always do and I felt… nothing. It was the same music that the algorithm had accustomed me to. The same artists, the same decade, nothing felt worthy of the “discovery” title to this playlist. Where were the weird gems? The forgotten B-sides from the peak of the 70s? The underground scene in Japan? I knew the music was out there, Apple Music just didn’t want me exposed to it.

That’s why I started MusicMax.

Our AI is able to break through these problems and help people like me find music they really love. Our goal in this space isn’t to become some streaming giant, our goal isn’t even to take the reigns from smaller companies like SoundCloud. We simply want to act as a helping force to those wanting to get into music. After all, getting “into music” is a pretty weird task. Where do you start? What do you like? Which artist is the most consistent according to your tastes? These are all questions that come up, and MusicMax is there to help guide new listeners through all of it. The goal of our company has always been discovery.

Whether you’re a lifelong audiophile or someone just trying to find what they like, MusicMax is here for you.
